Sage may recommend a variety of holistic therapies and therapists for pain control; and in rare cases when surgery may be necessary, he may consult with your surgeon as your patient advocate. As a pre-operative measure, Sage may suggest therapies  and exercises to prepare your back and supportive tissues so that they will heal quickly after surgery.  He will also advise on necessary post-operative measures to achieve the lifestyle best suited to your needs.

Sage had sustained significant spinal injuries - a vertebral fracture, two herniated discs in the neck (right and left sides) and five protruding lumbar discs.  As a patient, Sage learned how to manage his active lifestyle by mastering the “do’s and don’ts” of his condition.  As a doctor, he knows what therapies are best suited for problem spines, and as a patient himself, he knows how spinal problems can be debilitating to one’s life.  Yet with the proper knowledge and application of holistic therapies and lifestyle adaptations, one can once again enjoy an active life.
