Who Should Receive Spinal Mobilization Therapy?
Anyone with any type of impairment of the spine who experiences pain, limitation or discomfort in his or her range of motion may be a candidate for Spinal Mobilization Techniques (SMT). People with spinal arthritic changes and disc thinning are significantly helped.

SMT is for people, like myself, who have sustained injuries resulting in spinal disc herniations, protruding disc bulges or fractured vertebra, all resulting in restricted connective tissue mobility.

Patients confined to a hospital or who require extensive bed rest that results in joint stiffness can greatly benefit from SMT to keep the spine mobile and insure a more comfortable and quicker full recovery.

People involved in sports or yoga that seek better performance or are recovering from sports injuries will also benefit from SMT.

SMT helps in conditioning and reconditioning of the spine to facilitate healing for preoperative or postoperative surgical procedures as well as pre-chiropractic vertebral joint mobility for easier adjustments and with longer lasting results.

People with spinal curvatures or postural problems that often cause stiffness, headaches, backaches and acute or chronic pain are ideally treated by Spinal Mobilizations Therapies.

People that desire to feel and function at an optimum are also benefited by SMT.

The largest segment of the U.S. "aging" population is the Baby-Boom Generation, which will continue to expand in numbers over the next two decades. They will live longer and be more affluent than any post-60-year-old generation in the past. Most importantly, they want to remain active and mobile and they resent physical limitations. After all, what good is living longer and having economic means to travel and participate in life if you are in pain of have difficulty moving about?
